Provence
Think of Provence and you immediately think blue skies, fields of lavender and hilltop villages. Unfortunately today it has become rather overrun by tourist shops and the coast has been rather built up. However, if you are prepared to make the effort, there are still some corners off the beaten track, where you can find the authentic tastes and smells. Get away from the coast, go in spring or autumn and you'll find that it still is a very beautiful country.
